Dates & Venue confirmed for the 2009 Summer Camp

We are delighted to announce that we will again be using ACS International School in Cobham for our Summer 2009 camp between 17th & 21st August 2009.

The facilities & equipment must rate as among the best in the country with two courts permanently available in a sprung wooden floor gym (something which shouldn't be over looked when training young athletes in an intensive programme) giving the coaches the opportunity to work with different groups.

VbDC welcomes the Saudi Arabian sitting volleyball team

We were delighted to welcome the Saudi Arabian sitting volleyball team to our 2008 Summer Camp to give us a demonstration of this fast paced version of the sport. In England for a series of friendly matches & training sessions they were able to stop at Cobham on their way from Heathrow to Kent.

Under the watchful eyes of guest coach Tom Middleton and with the assistance of the Saudi team we were able to try our hand at the game.

Lisa Wainwright the new Chief Executive Officer of Volleyball England managed to find time on her whistle stop fact finding tour of the country to pop into Cobham and see Volleyball Development Camps at first hand.
After watching the morning session Lisa met with the organisers & coaches over lunch, before describing her vision for Volleyball in England over the coming years.
